WiFi Wardriver (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

a. Location Data

We collect your device’s GPS location to:

Identify nearby WiFi networks for gameplay
Enable location-based leaderboards and zones
Improve game mechanics and user experience

You must grant explicit permission for location access. You can disable location services at any time in your device settings, although this may limit core functionality.

b. WiFi Network Information (SSID)

We detect nearby WiFi SSIDs (network names), without connecting to them, to:

Enable the core gameplay loop (claiming WiFi)
Create a dynamic in-game map of territory
Calculate popularity and scoring of hotspots

We do not collect MAC addresses or device-level identifiers of routers. We also do not connect to or monitor actual network traffic.

c. Device & Usage Data

We collect basic device and gameplay data such as:

Device model, OS version
App usage statistics
Crash logs and diagnostics
In-game actions (e.g., claims, bombs)

This helps us improve performance, fix bugs, and balance the game.

2. How We Use Your Data

To enable gameplay based on your physical location
To provide real-time updates, notifications, and alerts
To personalize the game experience and progression
To analyze anonymized usage patterns and improve the app
To enforce anti-cheat and abuse-prevention measures

We do not sell or share your personal data.

4. Data Retention

Gameplay data (claims, scores, achievements) is retained as long as your account is active.
Location and SSID data is retained only as long as needed to support gameplay and may be deleted or anonymized after a period of inactivity (e.g., 90 days).
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

Under GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to:
